About Worship
The author of the book of Hebrews said, “And let us consider how to spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:24‒25).
At Faith Lutheran, we believe worship is gathering together for something deep and rich and exciting. Worship is our opportunity to gather as a body and voice our praise, lift our prayers, and share the Word and the bread and wine of Holy Communion. Worship allows us to confess our weaknesses and recall God’s forgiveness, to offer something of ourselves to God’s use in the world, and to share the peace of God with one another.
In worship we sing together, pray together, confess together, question together, and grow together as a people formed by God to follow God in our various settings in this world.
Our regular worship services are Sunday morning, 8:30 am for the “traditional” or “classic” service and 10:00 am for our “casual” service.
We also offer worship services on Christmas Eve, Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Mid-Week Lenten services.
The following Ministry is connected with our Worship . . .
Altar Guild—The volunteers and staff involved in this ministry help to decorate and prepare our worship spaces for our services each week.
